Rich is fascinated by soil health and regeneration. Having spent a good portion of his adult life in tourism, recreation and working with youth he is now enjoying a career in something just as rewarding. Making the move into creating regenerative landscapes is just the kind of challenge Rich thrives on, with the goal of creating solutions to issues such as climate change and site adaption, loss of biodiversity of flora and fauna, disrupted nutrient cycling processes and protecting and enhancing the micro world beneath our feet.
Rich is currently working on his Soil Food Web consultancy with the aim of being able to advise, guide and steward properties and property owners in the region towards regenerative landscapes and to have a better understanding of how soil works. This course takes a while to complete (~2 years) so watch this space!
When not covered in soil with a silly grin on his face, you’ll find him out exploring, kayaking, fishing, hunting, tinkering on projects, but also most likely, sitting next to Gwen relaxing on a beach in the evening with a glass of wine and Gwen’s baking in hand.
